Bring your skills to the mix as a Principal ICA Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in every aspect of instrumentation and control/automation engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.
We specialise in all aspects of instrumentation and control/automation, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Education. We continue to provide industry-leading engineering solutions right through the project lifecycle, with value added through client-side support as well as construction phases. Your Purpose:
- Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
What you can bring:
- Chartered Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer.
- Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
- Knowledge ICA design (instrumentation, PLC and SCADA systems), Motor Control Centres/Switchgear, system architecture, fieldbus/communication networks, P&ID’s, ATEX installation practice, functional safety, development of control specifications (URS/FDS), schedules and system requirements within process/industrial environment.
- Experience in designing within appropriate digital analysis packages, following applicable standards, working practices and national guidance.
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
