AtkinsRéalis, a world‑class engineering services and nuclear organization, is seeking to appoint site supervisors to join our Water Sector focused team in Northern Ireland. The role is within the Networks and Drainage Solutions Practice of the AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure division. The role would suit an Engineer or Site Supervisor with experience of site‑based NEC supervisor/Clerk of Works roles and may extend to supporting NEC PMs managing construction projects under the NEC suite of Contracts.

Your role

  • Ensure works are carried out safely in line with CDM and other Health & Safety requirements.
  • Ensure undertaking of the works in accordance with Contractor Risk Assessment and Method Statements.
  • Implement quality management/assurance during construction works.
  • Confirm works are constructed in accordance with the Contract Drawings, Specifications, NIW Asset Standards, Health and Safety Legislation and Environmental Legislation.
  • Raise all instances of non‑compliance with APM.
  • Maintain client required records, including Daily Record Sheets, agreed measurements and photographic records.
  • Review scope of early warnings issued by contractors against site records/activities to support assessment of CEs by the APM/NEC PM.
  • Record and check progress of the works in comparison with the accepted programme.
  • Liaise with Third Party/general public as required.

About you

  • Essential
    • Suitable qualification in construction and/or extensive experience of role requirements.
    • Appropriate Health & Safety experience and/or appropriate qualifications (e.g., Valid CSCS or equivalent certification).
    • Proactive commitment to health and safety.
    • Full UK driving licence.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Desirable
    • Educated to degree level with a civil engineering bias.
    • EUSR Water Hygiene Qualification.
    • Professionally Qualified Member of a recognised engineering institution (CEng/IEng etc).
    • Demonstrable experience within the Water sector.
    • Other civil engineering experience (energy, maritime, geotechnical, industrial) would also be relevant.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with stakeholders.
    • Experience of Construction Project Management using the NEC Suite of Contracts.
    • Previous experience working on UK Water frameworks.
    • Proven track record of working collaboratively in teams delivering projects.

Additional information – Security clearance

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
