We are looking for a Project Manager to play a key role within our growing Alliance partnership in Aylesbury. This is a unique opportunity to work client-side, embedded within a collaborative delivery environment, where your decisions directly shape outcomes for communities.

The Opportunity

  • As a Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of highway improvement and maintenance schemes, working within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and specialists.
  • You’ll take ownership of project performance, stakeholder engagement, and delivery excellence, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

Your role

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of work packages within a major highways programme.
  • Provide expert project and programme leadership, ensuring best practice standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients on cost, schedule, risks, and delivery strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder and alliance relationships.
  • Produce clear, insightful monthly reports (programme, financials, risk).
  • Drive effective communication and collaboration across project teams.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to add value and improve delivery outcomes.

About you

Experience & Qualifications

  • Project Management qualification (APM, PMP, PRINCE2) or demonstrable experience delivering complex projects.
  • Desired experience in transportation or infrastructure projects.

Key Skills

  • Strong leadership with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build relationships.
  • Confidence in managing change, risk, and resource planning.
  • Experience working with NEC4 contracts is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and financial reporting.
  • Ability to work both independently and within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • A proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
