This position is part-time. There is a maximum of 15 hours per week.
Part-Time Position:The primary focus of an Instructor will be to teach Snapology programs. Instructors are asked to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while educating students on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) concepts. Programs are conducted for children ages 2-14, although not all instructors are required to teach all age groups. This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology leadership as well as representing the organization to parents & children with professionalism.

- Lead groups of up to 24 students through curriculum-guided activities
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
- Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing rules
- Maintain discipline according to Snapology policies
- Encourage and monitor individual student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Prepare for each program by reviewing curriculum, watching training videos, or participating in training sessions
- Handle inquiries from parents about programs
- Encourage enrollment in future programs
- Participate in training and staff meetings as required
- Current Criminal and Child Clearances
- At least 1 year of experience working with children in a classroom or camp setting
- Education degree or teaching experience preferred; teachers or education students considered
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others
- Effective oral and written communication skills
