We’re looking for a Nanophotonics Engineer to join the Spectacles team to work on the next generation of displays at Snap Inc!
What you’ll do:
- Contribute to the development of micro-displays for Snap's Spectacles AR glasses
- Assess electro-optical performance of displays against system requirements
- Design and build self-contained demonstration platforms
- Support yield improvement activities with data collection and analysis across different process stages
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop production test system for displays
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating a variety of parametric test equipment, particularly in the electro-optical domain.
- Ability to write software using Python and create automated characterisation tests with NI LabView.
- Experience with PCB design and schematic capture
- Experience with the Semiconductor industry
- A strong enthusiasm for working within the demanding yet stimulating environment on a wide variety of problems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field.
- A minimum of two years of hands-on experience working in a technology based environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD or master’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field.
- Experience of working in display development
