Support Workers in Oxshott, KT22. Join a small, friendly home‑based team supporting Lily, a bright and engaging 5‑year‑old with complex medical needs. Up to £21.00 gross per hour.

Key Details

  • Nearest Station: Oxshott – 5‑minute walk from the family home
  • Salary/Wage: Day shifts – £18.00 weekdays / £20.00 weekends; Waking nights – £20.00 weekdays / £21.00 weekends
  • Driving Requirements: Strongly preferred
  • Essential qualification: Professional childcare experience; confident in supporting a young girl with physical disabilities and using equipment such as hoists (training provided)
  • Desirable experience: Supporting children with additional or complex needs, suctioning, chest physio, PEG feeding, epilepsy, dystonia, postural management, medication administration, AAC/Eye Gaze communication

Responsibilities

  • Hands‑on support for Lily’s therapies, rehabilitation and daily care
  • Personal care, PEG feeds, medication administration, stretches, communication support and respiratory care
  • Waking night care: observation, repositioning and respiratory support to keep Lily safe and comfortable
  • Work closely with her parents, support team and therapists

Working Hours

  • Wednesday and Thursday: 2.00 pm to 8.00 pm
  • Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm
  • Saturday waking night: 8.00 pm to 8.00 am
  • Additional ad hoc shifts available

Start Date & Availability

  • Start date: August 2026 (family will be travelling for Lily’s therapy); interviews and shadow shifts in June and July
  • Please advise your availability when applying

Environment

  • Pets in home: one much‑loved cat
  • Accommodation: Carer's office with comfortable chair, desk, kettle, coffee machine, microwave, fridge and snack cupboard
