- Salary/Wage: £19.00 Gross per Hour | £152.00 Gross per Shift
- Driving Requirements: Yes, driver essential. Automatic vehicle available for use on duty
- Essential: Experience supporting young people. Comfortable working in a home with dogs
- Preferred: Experience supporting hearing impairments, BSL experience, swimmer
- Start Date: ASAP
- Days & Hours: One day per week, mutually agreed with the client, 10.00am-6.00pm (8-hour shift including paid 20-minute break)
- Pets in Home: One small friendly dog
About this child/client: Jack, 19, is a thoughtful and engaging young man who enjoys cinema trips, walks, cooking and learning British Sign Language (BSL) alongside his family. Jack has a bilateral hearing impairment and uses double cochlear implants. He communicates verbally, although speech can sometimes be fast, quiet or trail off, and receives Speech and Language Therapy support. Jack lives at home with his family and would like support to build confidence, independence and explore new hobbies and activities in the community.
