Test Engineer, Camera and Sensing in Abingdon

• Define test and calibration methods for cameras and other optical sensors including algorithm development and test station hardware definition
• Drive test station manufacturing with third-party vendors
• Support tester bring up in collaboration with our manufacturing partners, write and maintain tester documentation, and review GR&R data
• Troubleshoot and debug test stations and test software and firmware releases
• Support failure analysis through review of test data in collaboration with the camera design engineers
• International travel up to 15% to support factory builds
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and/or C/C++ Strong data analysis and visualization skills using tools such as JMP, Python, or MATLAB
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and standards for cameras and fundamental understanding of optical sensing technologies
• Knowledge of standard quality methodologies such as GR&R and SPC, Bachelor's degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field
• 3+ years of experience in testing of cameras or optical sensors for consumer electronics
• Ability to travel internationally 15% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD or master's degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field
• Experience developing and maintaining factory test and calibration stations for high-volume manufacturing
• Experience with camera calibration and test techniques for computer vision, sensor fusion, active and passive depth sensing, and/or biometric sensing
• Experience with robotics or instrument control automation
