Position Overview

Perform semiconductor wafer processing and characterisation activities in the cleanroom.

Set‑up, operate, and monitor semiconductor equipment as well as recording data from the equipment.

Monitor process parameters and respond accordingly to maintain process consistency and prevent process deviations from the expected performance.

Collaborate with R&D and process engineers to develop semiconductor processes in the cleanroom.

Liaise with equipment engineers as well as tool vendors and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

Maintain and track inventory of lab consumables. Ensure compliance with cleanroom protocols as well as Environmental Health and Safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven hands‑on experience in operating semiconductor equipment and running semiconductor processes (wet and dry processes) in a semiconductor R&D and/or production cleanroom environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks and workload.
  • Ability to collaborate with R&D and process engineers as well as able to work independently.
  • Attention to detail required for processing semiconductor wafers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify and address processing challenges.
  • Completed BTEC‑Higher National Certificate (HNC) equivalent in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year semiconductor cleanroom experience.
  • Completed BTEC‑Higher National Diploma (HND).
  • 2+ years of experience in semiconductor R&D/high‑volume manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor wafer testing and data analysis techniques.
