We are looking for an Equipment Engineer to join our team at Snap Inc!
What you’ll do:
- Maintain and service semiconductor manufacturing and process equipment and infrastructure in our Cleanroom.
- Perform equipment daily checks, preventative maintenance, and repair.
- Manage re-stocking and supply.
- Document equipment processes and perform calibration.
- Ensure facility and infrastructure upkeep.
- Monitor user activities in the clean room to ensure proper and safe operation of the tools.
- Coordinate with external services to assist in any major equipment repairs and upgrades.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with semiconductor processing equipment and facilities including installation, preventative maintenance planning, and troubleshooting.
- Deep-level technical expertise in one or more major semiconductor process areas, such as thin-film deposition, lithography, or etch.
- Experience implementing and maintaining Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems for monitoring equipment performance and yield.
- Proficiency with equipment control software and data logging systems for fault isolation and performance tracking.
- Experience of working in a cleanroom environment.
- Asset & Inventory management experience.
- Systematic problem solving.
- Experience working and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams - internally and externally with suppliers.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic product development environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- H&D or Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Optics or Electrical Engineering.
- Prior work (7+ years) in clean room or chemical laboratory in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience with vacuum technology, high-purity gas, and chemical delivery systems.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, preventative maintenance, and asset history.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Optics or Electrical Engineering.
- Startup and commissioning of Facilities systems.
