We’re looking for a motivated IT Support Specialist to be the go-to person for day-to-day technical assistance in our office. Acting as the first point of contact for IT-related issues, you’ll help colleagues stay connected and productive by providing support across hardware, software, and systems.

This is a junior-level role, perfect for someone with a solid grounding in IT who’s ready to develop their skills further. You’ll work closely with our global IT team in Costa Rica, ensuring consistent service delivery and learning from experienced professionals in an international environment.

Reporting to: Head of Technical Strategy

Location: Crownhill, Milton Keynes / This is an office-based role (Monday to Friday) with flexibility for occasional home working.

Hours: Monday – Friday – 37.5 hours a week.

Salary: £competitive

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Being the first point of contact for all on-site IT queries.
  • Maintaining the office server and ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Setting up laptops and equipment for new starters.
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Managing office security, including updating door access codes.
  • Overseeing mobile phones (handsets and configurations).
  • Working with our Costa Rica-based IT team on escalations and projects.
  • Keeping an up-to-date IT equipment inventory.
  • Supporting basic system administration and user account management.
  • Assisting with retailer integrations, with opportunities for cross-training.

What we’re looking for:

  • Some practical experience in IT support, with a solid foundation in troubleshooting and a willingness to learn and grow in a professional environment.
  • Confidence troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic networking issues.
  • Familiarity with user account management and system administration.
  • Ability to set up and configure laptops, mobile devices, and related equipment.
  • Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain solutions clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with an eye on asset management and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues.
  • Willingness to cross-train into additional areas of IT support (e.g., Retailer integrations, system enhancements).
  • Understanding of Azure Active Directory (desirable).
  • Knowledge of cloud/virtual machines (desirable).
