Confident, understanding and sensitive female Support Worker in Northamptonshire to support a charming gentleman who has a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) with his rehabilitation. Up to £20.00 Gross per hour.

Salary/Wage: M-F £16.00 (£18.00 after probation period), Saturdays £17.00 (£19.00 after probation period), and Sundays £18.00 (£20.00 after probation period) gross per hour.

Driving Requirements: A full UK driving licence is required and you will need your own car to travel to the client’s home.

Essential:

  • Experience supporting a client with a disability, working under the direction of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)
  • Waking Night Experience
  • Non-smokers only

Highly desirable:

  • Experience supporting a client with a TBI
  • Supporting a client in their own home

Start Date: ASAP

Days & Hours: This role is to cover a minimum of 40 weeks per year, plus additional work covering sickness absences.

About the Client: John, 61, is a charming gentleman with a great sense of humour who enjoys watching sport, golf, playing dominos and backgammon, going for walks, and supporting his beloved Leeds United. He lives at home with his wife and their two grown‑up children. John sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in 2018 and requires around the clock support from a highly skilled team.

The Role at a Glance: This role provides cover for the team’s annual leave (approximately 40 weeks per year) plus sickness, with a combination of daytime and waking night shifts. You will provide respectful, person‑centred support that promotes his independence, dignity and wellbeing, using gentle prompts and visual cues to support daily routines in a calm, non‑patronising manner.

This Job Would Suit: A female support worker who is kind, intuitive, respectful and empathetic, and confident following MDT guidance. You’ll be flexible with varying hours and have strong communication skills, liaising effectively with professionals.
