About the Client/Child: Snap Care is thrilled to be working again with Harry, who lives at home with his family and is supported by a dedicated team of Support Workers. Harry loves dance, attends a music studio, participates in a weekly Boccia group, enjoys swimming, going to the gym, and especially loves going to Church. He is planning a new sensory garden at his allotment. A driver is required for trips further afield; however, Harry’s preferred mode of transport is his 3-wheeler trike, so his Support Worker needs to be physically fit to keep up. Harry requires assistance with activities of daily life, including support with personal care, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, and accessing the community.

The Role at a Glance: On arrival, there will be a short handover before going through Harry’s daily schedule. You will gently support Harry to participate in his chosen activities, helping him express his wishes appropriately. Harry walks unaided but can lose his balance, so his support worker must always be vigilant and physically able. New team members are introduced slowly, and Harry may want to meet first at his allotment or the dance studio until he feels a sense of trust and security. The start times may differ slightly depending on Harry’s levels of anxiety, from 09.00/10.00 am to 9.00 pm. More in-depth information will be provided to shortlisted candidates regarding the introduction of new team members and how Harry’s anxiety impacts his daily life.

This Job Would Suit: This role is suited for a highly motivated, energetic, and patient male Support Worker. You will work closely with Harry’s family to build a supportive and therapeutic relationship. An excellent communicator who genuinely wants to mentor and champion Harry to excel in his day-to-day life is essential.

Why You’ll Love This Role: Full induction and training will be provided, particularly suitable for someone looking for a career in social care. There will be a 16-week induction. This is an incredibly caring family with Harry very much at the heart of it and his community.

We will review all applications and verify the essential criteria are met before passing suitable CVs and contact details to our client/case manager, who will continue the recruitment process directly. By applying, you consent to your details being shared with our client.
