  • Salary/Wage: £20.00 Weekdays | £25.00 Weekends | average £39,520.00 gross per annum
  • Driving Requirements: Yes, with your own car and happy to use it for work purposes (expenses and mileage covered)
  • Essential: Previous nannying and early years’ experience. Experience supporting clients with physical disabilities. The ability to adapt tasks, activities, and daily routines to promote accessibility, inclusion, and independence. Non-smoker / Vaper. This role is open to Female applicants only
  • Desirable: Experience supporting a client with complex needs, limb difference and supporting prosthetic management.
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Days & Hours: Monday to Friday: 12.00pm to 8.00pm. Weekends and School Holidays: 12-hour shifts 8.30am to 8.30pm. The role is a job share and the family can offer it on a rolling rota basis or set shifts with full and part time positions available.

About the Client: Alice is 5 years old, she is a bubbly, energetic, and determined little girl who is at the heart of a supportive and loving family; Mum, Dad and 2 older siblings. Alice loves to spend time with her family and enjoys sensory play. Alice was born with Cornelia de Lange syndrome (CdLS), a rare genetic condition which means Alice requires support in all aspects of daily living. As a result of CdLS, Alice has global development delay, a hearing impairment, is pre-verbal, her mobility is affected, and she has limb difference on her upper limbs.

The Role at a Glance: The SEN Nanny role will be providing 1:1 support to Alice in all areas; working in collaboration with her parents, medical professionals, her multi-disciplinary team (MDT), and school. Her MDT of therapists is growing, and Alice is working hard to reach her goals and targets. Alice should be given every opportunity, so it is essential that all areas of her development skills are worked on. Due to Alice’s physical disability, the SEN Nanny will be creative to enable Alice to participate in all activities. Typical duties include school pick-up, planning activities, and preparing meals (pureed diet), Nursery duties and household duties include light housekeeping: keeping the house tidy, cooking, doing laundry, and running errands etc.

This Job Would Suit: This role would suit a SEN Nanny (female), with previous experience supporting children with complex additional needs. An energetic, confident, and respectful SEN Nanny who enjoys working within a family home and is an excellent communicator. Driver and car owner are essential, with mileage paid at 45p per mile for all driving when on shift.
