Care Team Leader position available for an experienced, dedicated, and professional Senior / Manager to lead a care team transitioning to 2:1 support. Offering £29,000.00 + Gross per Annum. (Part-Time Hours) Driver with own car required to travel to and from client’s home.
Essential: Previous experience in a Senior/Lead/Managerial role within health and social care. Experience supporting a client with a physical disability and PEG / Tube feeding. Non-smoker / vaper.
About our client: Tom is 15 years old and lives with his Mum and Dad in their fully adapted home. Tom has cerebral palsy and complex care and medical needs; he is a wheelchair user and is tube fed. He is reliant on others to meet all his health, care, and medical needs. He uses a communication book and switch, along with facial expressions, body language and sounds to support his communication.
Overview of role: The position will be largely managerial, with the workload increasing as new team members join. Typical duties include:
- Coordinating the team
- Organising the rota
- Training, appraisals and supervisions
- Managing medication and equipment
- Arranging appointments and timesheets
- Updating care plans
- Working in collaboration with other healthcare professionals and MDT’s
- Monitoring the quality of care provided in partnership with Tom’s parents
The Care Team Leader will have the opportunity to support Tom with all areas of his ADL’s, working closely with colleagues/the team.
Shift pattern: Term-time: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 3.30pm to 10.00pm. School Holidays: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 9.30am - 6.30pm, and Thursday 6.00pm - 10.00pm. 1 Saturday per month: 10.30am to 4.30pm. 1 Waking night shift per month (Friday or Saturday): 9.30pm to 8.30am. Allocated 5 hours for admin each month, this will increase as required.

You will be resilient with excellent communication, problem solving and delegation skills. The Team Leader must be confident in their ability to manage the transition ahead and be dedicated to building / growing a dynamic team.
