SEN Nanny/Manny in Beckenham, BR3. A great part-time opportunity for a professional SEN Nanny/Manny to support two fun-loving brothers aged 4 and 5, the eldest who has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). Offering up to £21.00 gross per hour.

Essential: Hands-on experience supporting children with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC).

Start Date: February 2026

Days & Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday, Term time: Mon & Wed 3.00 to 6.15pm, Tue & Thu 2.00 to 7.45pm (18 hours)
  • School holidays: Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 6:00pm (40 hours per week)

About the Client/Child:

Meet Nate (5) and Luca (almost 4), two bright, fun-loving brothers full of personality! Nate is a cheerful and easy-going little boy who loves singing, dancing, trampolining, and exploring the outdoors. He attends a mainstream school with 1:1 support and enjoys practicing his reading and writing. Nate has Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and is visually impaired, with low muscle tone. He can sometimes get overwhelmed, but a bit of humour and distraction usually helps him settle. Luca is curious, thoughtful, and full of big questions! He loves Duplo, dress-up, and creative play, and enjoys building and making things. The boys generally get on well, though occasional brotherly disagreements happen as they continue to learn about each other and process the world differently.

The Role at a Glance:

The SEN Nanny/Manny will play an essential role in supporting Nate and Luca through their afternoon routine. Core term-time hours are 3:00pm to 6:15pm, with two late finishes ideally required per week. There is also the option of starting earlier if you would like the additional hours for batch cooking and light nursery duties related to the children. Luca will be starting school in September; until then, on some afternoons you will collect him from nursery at 2:30pm before walking to pick up Nate from school, a short distance from the family home. Afternoons tend to be relaxed. Nate often needs time to decompress after a busy school day, so the focus is on providing a calm, fun, and engaging atmosphere. Activities might include arts and crafts, a trip to the park, imaginative play, or dressing up at home. During the school holidays, there will be plenty of opportunities for longer outings and more varied activities.

This Job Would Suit:

This is a wonderful part-time role for a SEN Nanny/Manny who is nurturing, patient, and kind. The family are looking for someone who can handle situations with warmth, fairness, and understanding rather than strict discipline. Nate sometimes enjoys playing the same game repeatedly, so it’s important to greet him with patience and a genuine smile. The ideal candidate will be someone who can support both boys in a calm, positive, and engaging way, helping them enjoy their afternoons and school holidays to the fullest.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

Join a warm and welcoming family where the current nanny has been part of the household for five years. You’ll enjoy helping the boys with afternoons and school holidays, creating fun, engaging, and memorable experiences. The family are supportive of professional development, happy to cover OFSTED registration and additional first aid training. This is a chance to become a valued member of a family who truly appreciate and invest in their SEN Nanny/Manny.
