Why this role exists…
As demand for data-driven decision-making continues to grow, so does the need for expert guidance in turning raw data into actionable insights. At Snap, we partner with clients across industries to help them unlock the full potential of their data, and we’re growing fast (156% in the last 12 months).
We’re looking for a Data Platform Consultant who can lead initiatives, build strong client relationships, and deliver high-impact data solutions. This role is central to driving outcomes for our clients and mentoring junior team members.

Your core responsibilities
- Managing priorities independently and driving outcomes across projects
- Building data pipelines and models using tools like SQL, Snowflake, and Matillion
- Facilitating discussions with clients, adapting your style to different audiences
- Offering multiple approaches to solve problems and balancing trade-offs
- Mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to internal improvements
- Identifying opportunities to add business value and strengthen client relationships
In your first 3–6 months, success might look like:
- Leading a small team to deliver a complex data solution
- Facilitating a workshop with a client to shape project direction
- Receiving positive feedback on your leadership and strategic thinking
What you\\\’ll need to succeed…
We’re looking for someone who brings technical expertise, consulting experience, and leadership capability.
You might be a great fit if you have:
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing and ETL tools like Matillion
- Deep familiarity with cloud platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Synapse
- A consultative mindset and ability to build consensus across stakeholders
- Experience mentoring others and driving internal improvements
This role might not be the right fit if you’re looking for:
- A purely technical role with minimal client interaction
- A focus on data science or machine learning rather than data engineering and analytics
