Description

Please note: We use banding codes (e.g., C1, C2, C3) to reflect different levels of experience and competency within each job title. These bands range from 1 to 3, with higher numbers indicating more senior roles. While the job title remains the same, the responsibilities and expectations vary by band, so we encourage candidates to read the role description carefully and apply for the banding that best aligns with their experience and career stage.

Why this role exists…

As demand for data-driven decision-making continues to grow, so does the need for expert guidance in turning raw data into actionable insights. At Snap, we partner with clients across industries to help them unlock the full potential of their data, and we’re growing fast (156% in the last 12 months).
We’re looking for a Junior–Mid-Level Data Platform Consultant who’s eager to learn, enjoys solving problems, and thrives in collaborative environments. This role is ideal for someone early in their consulting journey who wants to build strong technical foundations while growing their confidence in client-facing work.
You’ll be joining a supportive, curious, and client-focused team that’s passionate about making data meaningful. If you’re excited to contribute, learn from experienced colleagues, and grow your skills across industries, this could be a great fit.
You’ll support the delivery of data solutions for our clients, working closely with senior consultants and client stakeholders to understand requirements and implement high-quality outcomes.

What you\’ll be doing…

Your core responsibilities will include:
  • Managing your own deliverables with guidance and contributing to team success
  • Building data pipelines and models using tools like SQL, Snowflake, and Matillion
  • Asking for help when unsure, checking in regularly, and learning from feedback
  • Communicating clearly with clients and peers, sharing updates and listening actively
  • Contributing ideas to solve problems and adapting to changing project needs
  • Showing initiative in your development and supporting colleagues where you can
In your first 3–6 months, success might look like:
  • Delivering your first end-to-end data pipeline with support from your team
  • Receiving positive feedback on your collaboration and willingness to learn
  • Building rapport with at least one client team and contributing to meetings

What you\’ll need to succeed…

We’re looking for someone who brings curiosity, a growth mindset, and a solid technical foundation.
You might be a great fit if you have:
  • Strong SQL skills and some experience with data warehousing or ETL tools
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Synapse
  • A desire to learn and grow in a consulting environment
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative attitude
This role might not be the right fit if you’re looking for:
  • A purely technical role with minimal client interaction
  • A focus on data science or machine learning rather than data engineering and analytics
