We are seeking a forward-thinking and innovative Senior Garment Technologist to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on pushing boundaries and thinking outside the box. You will be knowledgeable in grade fitting, and confident in accurately amending graded specs based on fitting data, with a passion for fit and sizing. You will be at the forefront of innovation, redefining technical specifications and setting new industry standards. Your expertise will ensure our garments not only meet the highest quality standards but also lead in fit, comfort, and performance for our Snaggler community.

This is a FTC till early 2028.

Your direct team members will be in our design studio in East London – Mirror Works Stratford, approximately a 2-minute walk from Pudding Mill Lane DLR station. You will work from there a minimum of 3 days a week and you’ll work directly within the technical department alongside the Design and Development team. We also have an office in Istanbul and warehouses around the world that you will liaise with at times. You’ll report to the Chief Product Officer. You must be eligible to work in the UK.

What skills do I need for this role?

  • Highly organised with great attention to detail.
  • A working knowledge of grade fitting, and amending graded specs based on fitting data, in accordance with Snag’s ways of working.
  • The ability to think outside the box and find solutions to problems/ identify opportunities for improvement or innovation.
  • Accurate measuring skills.
  • Fitting knowledge and experience attended and running fit sessions, including experience in grade fitting.
  • Understanding of garments, patterns, construction of fabrics, seaming and trims.
  • Understanding of pattern amendments, fixing fit issues and identifying problems.
  • Fabric knowledge, and experience working with different fabrications.
  • Experience in reading test reports and certificates.
  • Approving care label artworks in line with standards.
  • Experience in working with and maintaining the company's critical path.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel /PLM and fit workbooks.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
  • A working knowledge of international compliance and standards.
  • A working understanding of sustainable fabric and fibres, certification and labelling.
  • A working knowledge of product and labelling compliance in the global marketplace.
  • Experience in measuring models including Plus size.
  • Experience in carrying out AQL and quality checks and reviewing AQL reports.
  • Experience working with an international supply base.

Desirable but not mandatory:

  • Experience processing intimates garments – Plus size and Fuller Bust experience is ideal.
