About The Role
Smyths Toys is opening a new store in Colliers Wood on 25th June 2026. We will be holding a Recruitment Day on 19th May 2026 and are searching for the next generation of Sales Assistants to join our team of superheroes.
Rates Of Pay
- Under 21: £11.30 per hour
- 21 and over: £13.20 per hour
Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Ascertain customers’ needs and wants.
- Work as part of a fast‑paced and dynamic team.
- Keep the store clean and tidy.
- Pack shelves and merchandise.
- Work on delivery and complete price changes.
- Operate the tills.
- Learn about and keep up to date with our products to better help customers.
The Ideal Candidate
Retail experience in the following areas is highly desirable, but not essential:
- Outdoor/Bikes
- Nursery
- Software & Gaming
- Backdoor/Warehouse
Our stores are open 7 days a week, so we need Sales Assistants to be as flexible as possible. As you will be joining one of our new stores, you will be expected to work increased hours to complete training prior to the official store opening. Initially, you will be hired on a temporary basis to determine whether you enjoy this fast‑paced retail environment.
