About The Role
Smyths Toys is opening a new store at the A1 Retail Park, Biggleswade (SG18 8PS) on 28th August 2025. We will hold a Recruitment Day on 23rd July 2025. Join our team of superheroes as we recruit the next generation of Sales Assistants for Smyths Toys Superstores!
We are looking for candidates to work at our new store. As part of our expansion, you will have exciting opportunities and be part of a fun, dynamic team.
Rates Of Pay
Under 21: £10.25 per hour, 21 and over: £12.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service
- Identify customers’ needs and wants
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
- Maintain store cleanliness and tidiness
- Pack shelves and merchandise
- Assist with deliveries and price changes
- Operate the tills
- Learn about products to assist customers effectively
The Ideal Candidate
Retail experience in areas such as outdoor/bikes, nursery, software & gaming, or backdoor/warehouse is highly desirable but not essential. Our stores operate 7 days a week, so flexibility is important. As this is a new store, you may need to work increased hours during training before the official opening. Initially, the role is temporary, giving you a chance to experience retail\’s fast-paced environment.
