About the Role
Smyths Toys Superstores are recruiting Temporary Night Pack Assistants. This role is essential for restocking the store after closing, preparing for the next day\’s trading. The position is demanding and requires attention to detail, flexibility with working hours, and the ability to multitask.
Job Description
Typical working hours will be from 10 pm to 7 am. You will work as part of a team to ensure store replenishment to Smyths Toys standards, maintain cleanliness, and keep shelves packed correctly. Safety is a priority; you must adhere to manual handling guidelines.

- Ensure the store is kept clean and tidy and that all shelves are packed down correctly to avoid gaps.

Person Specification
- Experience in retail is preferred but not mandatory.
- Merchandising experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work under pressure and follow instructions.
- Good communicator with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic IT and computer skills.
- Proof of right to work in the UK.
You may be working day shifts before being transferred to a night shift.
Contract & Pay
This is a temporary contract. Pay is £12.50 per hour for workers over 21 and £10.25 per hour for workers under 21. For hours worked between 10 pm and 7 am, pay is £14.37 for over 21s and £11.78 for 18‑20.
