About the Role
We are looking for a temporary Sales Assistant for the Christmas Temp – Charlton role at Smyths Toys Superstores. This is a temporary contract position with a pay rate of £12.80 per hour for over 21 and £10.55 per hour for under 21.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
- Work as part of a fast paced and dynamic team
- Keep the store clean and tidy
- Pack shelves and merchandise
- Work delivery and complete price changes
- Work on the tills
- Learn about and keep up to date with our products to help customers
The Ideal Candidate
Retail experience is highly desirable but not essential. Experience in the following areas is desirable:
- Outdoor/Bikes
- Backdoor/Warehouse
Our stores are open 7 days a week, so we need Sales Assistants to be flexible. As you will be joining one of our new stores, you will be expected to work increased hours in order to complete your training prior to your official store opening. Initially, you will be hired on a temporary basis to give you the opportunity to see if you enjoy this fast paced world of retail.
