Smyths Toy Superstores are a rapidly expanding retailer specialising in toys, software, and nursery products. We are currently recruiting a Bike Mechanic.

As a Bike Mechanic, you will be expected to provide a high level of customer service, assemble bikes in store and manage associated assembly sign-off/ health & safety paperwork and certificates. You will help your team achieve daily targets and ensure that the store is well stocked and well presented at all times*. Successful candidates will work as part of a fast-paced and dynamic team.

Training in bike assembly and health & safety is provided.

Our Stores are open 7 days a week and we need our Bike Mechanics to be as flexible as possible to ensure that it succeeds. Weekends are our busiest trading days so it is likely that you will be required to work on these days.

Rate of Pay is £12.90 per hour for over 21 and then £11 for under 21

  • Personal interest in biking/ bikes would be advantageous
  • Good organisational skills essential to manage assembly certificates/ health & safety paperwork

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in bike assembly/ repairs desirable
  • Some experience in mechanical, hands-on role desirable
  • Personal interest in biking/ bikes would be advantageous

  • Retail merchandising experience is desirable but is not essential.
