Head of Wellness β Luxury Hotel & Destination Spa β South West England
A leading luxury hotel and spa is seeking a Head of Wellness to shape and drive a world-class, experience-led wellness offering. This is a key strategic and operational role for a senior wellness leader who can combine vision, commercial thinking and calm, grounded leadership.
As Head of Wellness, you will:
- Set the overall vision and strategy for wellness, aligning it with the wider hotel and brand.
- Curate an elevated, experiential guest journey β from treatment menus and rituals to workshops, retreats and longer-term programmes.
- Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary wellness team, creating a culture of calm professionalism, care and continuous growth.
- Work closely with senior leadership and other departments to ensure a seamless, integrated guest experience.
- Take ownership of wellness P&L, budgeting and performance, balancing commercial objectives with integrity of the concept.
- Identify and develop new concepts, partnerships and revenue streams in line with global wellness trends.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, standards and procedures to ensure consistently exceptional delivery.
What Weβre Looking For:
- Senior-level experience within luxury hotels, destination spas or high-end wellness environments.
- A track record of creating or evolving wellness concepts, programmes or strategies (not just operating an existing model).
- Proven team leadership experience, ideally leading therapists, spa teams and wellness professionals.
- Strong commercial acumen, comfortable working with budgets, revenue targets and performance metrics.
- Deep understanding of modern wellness trends and the expectations of an international, luxury clientele.
- Comfortable using or overseeing spa / wellness booking and reporting systems.
Personal Style:
- Calm, grounded presence with a low-ego, high-ownership leadership style.
- Highly guest-centric, with excellent intuition for what feels thoughtful, human and luxurious.
- Organised, structured and forward-planning, with strong follow-through.
- Emotionally intelligent, able to handle sensitive team dynamics and guide people through change respectfully.
- Genuinely passionate about wellness as more than a product β as a way of living, working and leading.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Recognised qualification in spa, beauty, holistic therapies or related wellness disciplines, or equivalent relevant experience.
Package:
- Contract: Full-time, permanent
- Benefits: Competitive salary, performance-related bonus and wider company benefits (to be discussed at interview)
