About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Development Chef to join a Michelin-starred restaurant group renowned for culinary excellence, innovation, and outstanding guest experiences. This is a unique opportunity for a creative and technically skilled chef to work closely with senior leadership in developing new dishes, menus, concepts, and food standards across a prestigious portfolio. The successful candidate will combine Michelin-level culinary expertise with a passion for innovation, research, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, and test new dishes, tasting menus, and seasonal offerings.
  • Work alongside Executive and Head Chefs to drive culinary innovation.
  • Source and evaluate premium ingredients from leading suppliers and producers.
  • Develop recipes, specifications, and presentation standards.
  • Lead menu trials, tastings, and product development projects.
  • Monitor food trends and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Support kitchen teams with menu implementation and training.
  • Ensure all dishes meet the group’s Michelin-star quality expectations.
  • Maintain accurate costings and support profitability targets.
  • Assist with food photography, presentations, and concept launches where required.

About You

  • Previous experience within a Michelin-starred environment.
  • Proven background in menu and dish development.
  • Strong understanding of seasonal British and international ingredients.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Creative mindset combined with exceptional technical cooking ability.
