We are now seeking a Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry and dessert operations across our fine-dining restaurant, afternoon tea service, weddings, and private events.
The Role:
As Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and delivering exquisite pastries, desserts, breads, and afternoon tea selections that reflect our hotel\’s reputation for excellence. You\’ll manage a talented pastry team, oversee daily production, and collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to maintain the highest standards of quality, innovation, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a dedicated pastry team.
- Develop seasonal dessert menus and bespoke creations for special events.
- Ensure consistency, creativity, and precision in all pastry items.
- Manage ordering, stock control, and kitchen costs within budget.
- Maintain rigorous hygiene and food safety standards.
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs to develop their skills.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef or Senior Pastry Sous in a 5-star hotel, Michelin-level restaurant, or luxury establishment.
- Exceptional creative flair with a deep understanding of classical and contemporary pastry techniques.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail and a passion for excellence.
- Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure.
