We're working with a luxury country house hotel in the South West of England to appoint a Front of House Manager to lead all guest-facing operations. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who is passionate about service, team development, and delivering an exceptional guest journey from arrival to departure.
You'll oversee reception, duty management and night operations, acting as a visible presence within the hotel and working closely with senior management to maintain high standards, consistency and efficiency across the front office.
What the role involves:
- Leading, supporting and developing the reception, duty and night teams
- Owning the full guest journey, ensuring warm, professional and seamless service
- Managing daily front office operations, procedures and service standards
- Working closely with senior management to drive service excellence and operational efficiency
- Supporting scheduling, training, performance reviews and ongoing team development
- Acting as a duty manager across the hotel when required
About you:
- Currently a Head of Department or a strong Assistant Front of House Manager ready to step up
- Background in quality hotels, ideally luxury or boutique
- A confident, calm and approachable people leader
- Highly organised with excellent communication and time-management skills
- Comfortable working across reception, duty management and night operations
- Tech-savvy, with experience using hotel PMS systems (Opera or similar advantageous)
Package:
- Salary: £40,000 per annum + service charge/tronc
- Full-time contract, 5 days out of 7, including evenings and weekends
