A rare opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Senior Butler Manager to lead a large, established service team within a prestigious private Hotel overseas. This role is suited to a highly experienced professional with proven capability managing a team of up to 20 butlers while maintaining the highest international standards of service.
The Role
- Direct leadership and management of 20 butlers, including senior and junior levels
- Setting, maintaining, and enforcing service standards and protocols
- Recruitment, onboarding, training, mentoring, and disciplinary management
- Duty rosters, shift planning, and leave management
- Oversight of formal service, state-level entertaining, and VIP guests
- Performance reviews and succession planning within the team
- Coordination with household departments (housekeeping, kitchen, security, chauffeurs)
- Stock control, uniforms, inventories, and departmental budgeting
- Absolute discretion and confidentiality at all times
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in UHNW private households or comparable luxury environments
- Demonstrable experience managing large service teams (15–20 staff)
- Strong leadership presence with a calm, authoritative management style
- Impeccable service knowledge and attention to detail
- Fluent English essential; additional languages advantageous
- Physically resilient and comfortable working in a hot climate
- Willingness to relocate internationally on a long-term basis
