We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join the culinary team at a prestigious sporting venue in South West London .
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Sous Chef looking to secure a MondayFriday position , offering a fantastic work-life balance while working within a high-quality hospitality operation.
The Role
Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and service.
You will be responsible for:
Supporting the Head Chef with the daily kitchen operation
Leading and motivating the brigade in the Head Chefs absence
Preparing and producing high-quality fresh food
Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
Assisting with menu development and new dish creation
Monitoring food quality, wastage and portion control
Supporting the training and development of junior chefs
Catering for members, guests, corporate functions and sporting events
Ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and professionally at all times
The Candidate
We are looking for a hands-on Sous Chef with previous experience in a quality restaurant, private members club, sporting venue, hotel or events environment.
You will ideally have:
Strong culinary and organisational skills
Previous experience at Sous Chef level or as a strong Chef de Partie ready to progress
Excellent knowledge of fresh food and modern British cuisine
Good leadership and communication skills
A professional and positive approach
High standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment
