Role Description
The Contract Director is a full‑time position, responsible for overseeing the planning, delivery, and performance of electrical contracts from inception to completion. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include estimating, managing multiple projects, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, leading contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. The role involves supervising project teams, monitoring budgets and timelines, reviewing technical documentation, and resolving operational issues to keep contracts on track. This position requires frequent on‑site engagement with projects, suppliers, and clients to ensure high‑quality service and strong working relationships.
Qualifications
- Experience leading electrical contracts, including project planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability in tendering, contract negotiation.
- Knowledge of electrical industry standards, health and safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, including team supervision.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under time constraints.
- Proficiency with project management tools, basic office software, and documentation systems relevant to contract administration.
- Relevant professional qualifications in electrical engineering.
- Previous experience in a senior contracting or operations role within the electrical industry.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Oxfordshire and surrounding areas as required.
