The Role
Will play a key part in planning daily transport requirements to all our customers at the lowest cost.
- Planning & Booking In – All Deliveries, Waste & Reel Collections, Pallet Returns, Customer Returns
- Provide daily load plans to Despatch, Core Fleet, External Haulier and Subcontractors
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly load fill and OTIF statistics to the business
- Plan external warehouse loads with Despatch Manager and Despatch Team
- Participate in weekly improvement meetings outlining areas putting cost into Smurfit Westrock. This is in conjunction with the External Haulage Supplier
- Liaise with OPCO’s – Intersite delivery opportunities and building relationships
- Participate in weekly monthly logistics reviews
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Is self‑reliant and comfortable operating semi‑independently
- Analytical and able to promptly interpret and communicate key information to all relevant areas of the organisation
- Requires knowledge of planning and scheduling
- Able to communicate effectively with peers and senior team members both within and outside of the organisation
- Must have good Excel spread‑sheet skills
- Strong communicator able to work at a fast pace
- Open to change and new idea implementation
- Knowledge of Transport and Logistics advantageous
