The Role
The Financial Controller is a key member of the Sheetfeeding finance team, and is primarily responsible for:
- Controller compliance – responsible for managing and reducing financial risk
- Monitoring and reporting of business performance – both financial and operational data
- Assisting with budgeting & forecasting
- Strategic business partnering – using data analysis & trends to shape organisational
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and meaningful business performance data, highlighting trends, risks, improvement opportunities
- Oversee and be responsible for all site financial compliance, corporate governance and reporting requirements, including audits, and generation of statements and reports in accordance with internal and external schedules
- Maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets
- Monitor financial performance and provide analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior management
- Support business decision-making through financial modelling, reporting, and performance analysis
- Financial control of site fixed assets, capex and purchasing limits
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reporting to senior leadership
- Oversee all purchase order and payable activities ensuring that webcycles are minimised
- Support transactional site requirements that have a financial element (i.e. payroll approvals, inventory management, headcount control, absence costs, overtime spend)
- Lead, develop, and mentor finance team members, promoting high standards of performance and professionalism
Your job title does not limit your duties and the Company may require you from time to time to undertake any other duties within your capability.
