The Role: A vacancy has arisen for a VNA/Counterbalance FLT driver at our Production/Warehouse facility at Markham Vale North. Reporting to a Senior Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations within the warehouse facility as well as the safe and efficient loading/unloading of vehicles, whilst health and safety is adhered to at all times. The role involves working a 12-hour continental shift pattern working 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am. This challenging position demands a proactive hands-on approach, complemented by accuracy, adherence to deadlines and laid down procedures.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:
- Counterbalance / FLT - Essential
- VNA - Desirable
- Knowledge of warehouse Health and Safety requirements.
- Safe stacking and unstacking large quantities of pallets into racking.
- Moving pallets from storage areas to loading areas for transport.
- Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the pallets to their designated storage areas.
- Excellent time management with a flexible approach to work.
- Skills: accuracy, attention to detail, reliability, computer literate.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and targets - under own initiative and as part of a team.
- Naturally self-motivated and have the ability to work under minimum supervision.
- The willingness to carry out other tasks as and when required.
