To lead with the support of the General Manager the operations of the Smurfit WestRock’sRecovered Fiber depot, duties to include operations and administration of both production and transport:
- To lead the day-to-day operation of the production facility and its production team.
- To assist in the day-to-day Administration of Depot.
- To assist in the day-to-day Transport Operations of the Depot through the Smurfit Westrock’s fleet and drivers.
- Manage the day-to-day material flows through the Depot.
- To assist and monitor the performance of the: Production Supervisors and Production Operatives, Drivers and Administration Staff.
Personal Specification
- Ensure that all working practices conform to the company Health & Safety guidelines and current legislation
- An understanding of permitting and waste management licence operations in England, WAMITAB Level 4 holder preferred
- CPC Qualification and knowledge of transport operation a must
- Experience within the paper / recycling sector extremely desirable
- Demonstrate good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages
- Experience with Microsoft Navision and SAP beneficial but not essential
- Positive, proactive approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to challenge processes and offer new ideas
This role requires on site presence 5 days per week, with occasional travel to attend management meetings, safety meetings and collaborative learning.
