The Role: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Weekend Engineer to play a key role in supporting our operations teams. This position is integral to delivering consistently high-quality products to our customers, while also driving improvements in operational effectiveness.
- Fault Finding and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical components, including PLCs, inverters, and drives, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal machine performance.
- Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance: Perform both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacement of parts, and conducting regular preventative maintenance to maintain smooth operations.
- System Improvement: Participate in and support improvement projects, identifying areas for increased efficiency, reliability, and performance within the production environment.
- Operational Support: Provide hands-on support to production teams, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently, and addressing any technical issues promptly.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards while performing maintenance activities, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Continuous Learning and Development: Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in electrical and mechanical maintenance, actively contributing to the improvement of operational processes.
Your job title does not limit your duties and the Company may require you from time to time to undertake any other duties within your capability.
Requirements: The role involves working 2 x 12-hour weekend shifts and 2 x 8-hour weekday shifts, with a requirement for reasonable overtime and flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the business. ONC/HNC in Electrical engineering or equivalent.
