The Role
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Production Operative to join our team at Windrush. As a key member of the Operations Team, you will work on a 3-shift rotating pattern (6.00am – 2.00pm, 2.00pm – 10.00pm, 10.00pm – 6.00am). The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, focused, and driven, with a positive “can-do” attitude. You will demonstrate excellent self-organisation and motivation skills, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety at all times. For some positions, operating a forklift is required in order to safely load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. However, this is not a requirement for all roles. We encourage you to apply for both forklift and non-forklift positions, depending on your experience and preferences.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Adhere to all health and safety standards, promptly reporting any near misses or incidents in line with Company Policy.
- Operate according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), ensuring high levels of performance and quality, and report any issues promptly.
- Work in accordance with the site’s quality standards, performing quality checks as necessary to ensure product integrity.
- Participate in competency-based training across various areas of the production process to become multi-skilled and adaptable to different roles.
- Actively contribute to the site’s SWOPE program, working towards continuous improvement.
- Take a proactive approach to problem-solving, helping to address any operational issues and improve overall efficiency.
- Ensure smooth communication within the team and provide a high-quality handover to ensure continuity in operations.
- Your job title does not limit your duties and the Company may require you from time to time to undertake any other duties within your capability.
