The Role: As the HSE Manager, reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our site. With the support of the Leadership team, you will drive and lead the implementation of our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) strategy. Your role as H&S Manager is to ensure compliance with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, Group H&S policies, and local H&S policies and procedures. Your leadership will inspire a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, empowering every team member to contribute to a safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplace. Together, we will create an environment where safety is not just a priority but a core value, and where our commitment to HSE excellence is reflected in everything we do.
What we are looking for in a candidate:
- Excellent organisation and lean administration skills
- Excellent ability to prioritise
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Engaging presenter and communicator
- Problem solving and root-cause, corrective action planning capability
- Demonstrable ability to work alone yet be able to successfully influence other areas of the business in order to achieve key objectives.
Essential Criteria:
- A minimum requirement of a NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety
- 3 years’ experience as a Health & Safety Manager ideally in the manufacturing industry
- Track record of delivering improved safety culture
- Experience in managing and delivering ISO14001 Environmental Management system
- Ensure up to date knowledge of best practice within the HSE arena
