JOB PURPOSE: To create and design innovative product packaging aligned with customer needs and support requests from our sales and key accounts teams. Working closely with all parties to deliver effective and innovative packaging solutions from concept through to delivery. Support projects and review and provide sample requests for a range of markets including healthcare. The design should consider sustainability, ensure product integrity and appeal.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- To support improvements in new designs
- To increase opportunity for margin recovery, cost reduction and profit improvement
- Effectively manage multiple projects and provide on-going status reports to key stakeholders.
- Develop strategic links with Key Account managers (KAMs) and Business Development managers (BDMs) working closely with these teams on projects for some of the worlds most iconic brands, delivering innovative and effective packaging solutions.
- Provision of routine detailed and accurate analysis, reports and presentations on customer and component activity
- Attend meetings as required
- Utilise systems and processes
- Lead & participate in projects across Ireland Cartons
- Support Sales teams in promoting the product capabilities leading to increased focus on added value sales growth and product development
- Communicating and presenting at all levels with colleagues, peers and high-end clientele
- A keenness to stay abreast of the latest innovations and changes in print and packaging, working closely with the Technical Design Team, proposing fresh and inspired ideas, promoting improved practice in a dynamic team who share the same aspirations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:
- A strong background and portfolio in conceptual packaging design
- An adept level of understanding and industry knowledge
- Must have a minimum of three years experience in structural design, unique packaging and pharmaceutical expertise, using design software Artios CAD
- Demonstrable experience of working to high quality standards
- Willingness to travel & some flexibility in working hours
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
- Must know methodologies, tools and techniques for designing, building and managing the manufacture of new products
- Must know the methods and associated phases, activities and deliverables for the design of new products and the enhancement of existing products
- User-level knowledge of ArtPro+
