We're looking for an experienced People Compliance Manager to strengthen our people's compliance framework across the business.
This is a high-profile role with responsibility for GDPR, ethical trade compliance, employment compliance and governance activities across a large, multi-site organisation.
Reporting into and working closely with the HR Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in reducing risk, driving best practice and ensuring we continue to meet the highest standards of compliance and ethical conduct.
What you'll do
- Lead people compliance initiatives across GDPR, Modern Slavery and ethical trading requirements.
- Manage SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) and customer compliance audits, ensuring successful outcomes across multiple sites.
- Oversee Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and employee data governance.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures and compliance frameworks.
- Deliver compliance training and promote best practice across the business.
- Build strong relationships with auditors, regulators and internal stakeholders.
- Analyse compliance risks and drive continuous improvement.
About you
- You'll be a proactive and commercially minded compliance professional with:
- Experience in HR compliance, governance, audit or HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and GDPR.
- Experience managing audits and compliance programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Manufacturing experience, knowledge of Sedex/SMETA and project management experience would be advantageous.
