About The Role
The Consultant SAP - Source to Pay is a functional and technical specialist responsible for designing, enhancing, and supporting SAP solutions within the Source to Pay (S2P) value stream. This includes end-to-end procurement and supply chain processes such as sourcing, purchasing, inbound logistics, inventory management, supplier collaboration, and payment processing. The role combines application support (L1.5-L3) with project delivery and business process improvement. The consultant works closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into SAP solutions, ensuring efficient issue resolution, continuous improvement, and alignment with global standards. The role operates within a regional team (EMEA/APAC) and collaborates globally across SAP CoE teams. Occasional travel to CoE hubs in France or Mexico is expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1.5-L3 support for SAP S2P processes, including incident resolution, changes, and enhancements.
- Analyze and propose improvements to business processes and SAP solutions.
- Gather and prioritize requirements in collaboration with global and local key users.
- Design, configure, and implement SAP solutions aligned with business needs.
- Prepare functional specifications and support custom development activities.
- Perform unit and integration testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Execute cutover and data migration activities for new implementations or enhancements.
- Maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and changes.
- Deliver training and support to end users and key stakeholders.
- Ensure solution integrity and alignment with core SAP standards and adjacent modules.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Managers to define and prioritize solution enhancements.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with architecture standards.
- Partner with Service Managers to ensure consistent operational practices.
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams (Development, Basis, Security).
- Support project delivery activities including workshops, blueprint design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
Organizational Context
The role is part of the SAP Solutions organization within the Global SAP CoE, which is responsible for delivering SAP-enabled business solutions across the full application lifecycle. Structured around value streams such as Finance, Sourcing, and Manufacturing, this team manages the design, implementation, optimization, and support of SAP solutions. It acts as the primary interface with business stakeholders, ensuring solutions deliver value, support global standardization, and address local business needs. The organization plays a key role in driving business process improvement, innovation, and user experience across the SAP landscape.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience delivering SAP solutions, including configuration and custom development.
- Strong expertise in Source-to-Pay processes, including procurement, purchasing, inbound logistics, and supplier management.
- Hands-on experience with SAP MM and WM modules; exposure to S/4HANA and ECC environments.
- Experience with SAP Ariba and LE-TRA is a plus.
- Proven experience in solution design, implementation, and support in complex environments.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with tools such as SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, and SAP Signavio.
- Understanding of product lifecycle management and value stream delivery models is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with focus on data quality, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working with cross-functional and global teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Fluent business English required; additional languages such as Spanish or French are a plus.
