- General warehousing duties (picking/packing/putaway)
- Goods in (receiving deliveries, processing paperwork, liaising with various departments on queries)
- Using forklift truck to move items around the site (gas bottles, paint pallets), using scanners (Zebra)
- Strong knowledge of stock checks and stock control
- Ability to problem solve and collaborate with other team members and team leaders
Your magic skills
As a Stores person you are a key member of the Smulders team and responsible for operating, maintaining, continuously improving the control and storage of goods and/or material applicable to the project as required for company business activities.
The successful candidate will have;
- Warehousing experience in large warehouses with knowledge on modern IT systems for warehousing
- Has been involved in projects in warehouse and worked on supporting improvement projects
- IT knowledge or showing enthusiasm and eagerness to learn new things in IT for warehousing
- A good level of physical fitness
- To enjoy practical work
- Able to work quickly and methodically
- Good organisational skills
- Basic computer skills
- A safety‑conscious attitude to your work
- FLT licence
- Have previous experience in this type of position, ideally within a heavy engineering environment
