We\'re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Product Manager - Road & Compact Equipment to join our team. In this role, you\'ll take ownership of a key product range—making sure it delivers for our customers, supports our sales teams, and aligns with SMT\'s long-term strategy.
You\'ll work closely with OEMs, dealers, and colleagues across the business to shape the direction of the products, from launch to lifecycle. This includes monitoring market trends and customer needs, supporting sales, and providing the necessary information for success.
You will collaborate with Sales teams and dealers to ensure they have the support and information needed to achieve SMT\'s market growth and long-term objectives.
What you\'ll be doing:
- Develop and implement strategic product marketing plans, including pricing, positioning, and promotion across relevant sectors.
- Lead new product introductions and ongoing improvement projects covering all standard technologies in the product family.
- Manage the full New Product Launch (NPL) process, ensuring timely delivery, compliance, and readiness.
- Create targeted product campaigns in collaboration with OEMs to grow market share and support margin objectives.
- Provide competitor analysis, develop sales tools and training, and support teams with market insights.
- Act as the authority on your product range, delivering internal and external presentations and technical guidance.
- Serve as the main contact for OEM collaboration and develop regional specifications with Sales.
- Adhere to SMT GB\'s health, safety, quality, and environmental policies, and support additional tasks as needed.
Requirements

- Degree qualification in Engineering, Business Development, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in commercial analysis and business improvement recommendations.
