Are you an organised and customer-focused professional with experience in stock control, parts administration, procurement, or supply chain operations? We’re looking for a Stock Controller to join our team at Duxford, playing a vital role in ensuring our parts operation delivers outstanding service to both internal and external customers.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating parts ordering activities across the business, maintaining optimum inventory levels, and supporting the efficient movement of parts throughout the network. Working closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and Volvo systems, you’ll help ensure the right parts are available at the right time while maintaining high levels of accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Managing parts ordering activities with Volvo and non-Volvo suppliers to support customer and business requirements.
- Monitoring stock availability, backorders, supplier performance, and inventory levels to maximise service delivery.
- Supporting import, export, dealer-to-dealer, and drop-shipment activities while ensuring correct processes are followed.
- Maintaining accurate parts records, system updates, invoice reconciliations, and supplier information within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Providing excellent customer support by responding to parts availability enquiries, lead time requests, and stock-related queries.

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent levels of accuracy and customer service. To be successful, you’ll have:
- Experience within stock control, inventory management, procurement, parts administration, logistics, or a similar operational environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Good analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying process improvements.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to work confidently across multiple systems.
