Join SMS to work as a Validation Assistant in Glasgow on a 6‑month Fixed Term Contract. You will validate scheduled jobs, ensuring accurate phone numbers, access notes, commercial customer details and suppress aborted jobs to improve operational efficiency.

Role
As a Validation Assistant you will:
- Review all scheduled jobs at D‑5 to validate phone numbers, contact details and ensure 11‑digit format.
- Cross‑check contact details against internal and trusted external sources, correcting errors.
- Review access notes for clarity, consistency and relevance, flagging outdated information.
- Contact commercial customers scheduled at D‑5 to confirm job details and update records.
- Suppress or cancel jobs that cannot proceed, documenting actions.
- Accurately update internal systems and log all communications for compliance.
- Review validated jobs from the previous day, updating logs and investigating aborted jobs.
Working hours
Full‑time, 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, based at our Glasgow office.
Qualifications
- Electricity Industry experience (essential)
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, especially for customer‑facing phone interactions
- Ability to identify and escalade potential issues proactively
- Experience in administrative or scheduling systems preferred
- Organised, methodical, able to work to pre‑dispatch timeframes
