The Company
Our client has grown to be one of the UK’s largest suppliers of building and construction steel coating solutions for the Process, Construction & Civils industries. This growth has seen the company turnover increase and their ability to service clients far beyond their expectations. With continued support for training with a guarantee that personal development will be encouraged and promoted, our client is now looking to expand their operations in the Bradford area with the recruitment of an Engineering Works Manager / Production Manager.
The Role
This is a fundamental role in the company’s business strategy and requires individuals of an ambitious nature; the roles will allow applicants to develop and maintain Production controls specifically overseeing manpower, productivity, machine activity, health and safety, quality and work schedules. Operating across the whole Production/Manufacturing and planning operation but with key focus on Labour, workforce planning, Manufacturing, Safety conformity, and Process Improvement you will get the chance to champion and develop each department. After a full and comprehensive induction into the business, you will be responsible to our client’s directors. The client provides coating services into all Construction and Civil Contractors, Process Industries, metal forming companies and contractors. You will oversee the operations of the production team which will include areas in the business such as Production to profitability requirements, Quality, Health & Safety, and maintenance teams.
The Candidate
Suitable applicants must be able to show a good understanding of Production/Manufacture Man Management with supervisory and management experience ideally with good knowledge of Manpower, Labour, helping Health & Safety for the team and conformity to quality. Ideally within a production, Heavy Engineering, construction product manufacture or manufacturing environment and have production/manufacturing and Commercial skills and the motivation to succeed within this industry. Ideally, applicants will come from within Steel, Heavy Production, Building Product Supply, Production Engineering, Manufacture, Metals, heavy-side product manufacture, Production Management or a Technical/Engineering Business with experience and be looking for a challenging new role. Applicants must be able to demonstrate high levels of drive.
Working Monday to Friday (8 hours a day between the hours 6.00am – 6.00pm not fixed which you can set) making up a 40hr week. Basic Salary £40-42K + Bonus + Car, Holidays, Full Pension, Company Shares - Full company benefits.
