Internal Sales The Company Our client has grown to be one of the UK’s largest suppliers of Structural Steel construction products and Structural Steel -rebar into the Civil, Groundwork and Construction industry. This growth has seen the company turnover increase and their ability to service clients far beyond their expectations. With continued support for training with a guarantee that personal development will be encouraged and promoted our client is now looking to expand their operations in the Motherwell area by recruiting this role. The Role This is a fundamental role in the company’s business strategy and requires an individual of a strong construction sales, account management or customers service background. This is an internal role, dealing with Civil and Construction Contractors – Account Management type role, you will be responsible for customers when they call the branch with enquiries for the supply of structural steel, rebar or mesh putting together the lists of products they require, imputing onto the system and being a point of contact to the point of delivery. This is a reactive customer service and sales role requiring very little new business, managing existing long-standing accounts, building strong business relationships and making sure that our clients customers feel well looked after and valued. The application of these products are heavily biased towards, large construction Contractors, Civil Engineering Contractors but also to House Builders, Developers, Ground Works Contractors and Structural Engineering Projects. You will work as part of a team in the office advising customers on products, costings and delivery and will play an integral part in the company’s development. The Candidate Suitable applicants must be able to show sales, internal account management or product supply capability (personality, enthusiasm, and attitude) of the above markets (construction contractors, merchants and end-users) and be looking for a challenging new. Customer interaction experience is ideal however applicants must also be able to engage with customers over the phone and take the time to understand what they want and need. Candidates presently in a Product Supply, Internal Sales, Counter Sales, Account Management, Internal Sales or Builders Merchant role talking to the construction, Civil, Engineering, Service type market or similar would be of great interest as this role requires both personality and commercial acumen.
