The Company
Our client has grown to be one of the UK’s leading partitioning designers and installers and is looking to recruit a CAD Technician to join their team. Their growth has seen the company turnover increase and their ability to service clients far beyond their expectations. With continued support for training with a guarantee that personal development will be encouraged and promoted, our client is now looking to expand their operations in their Glasgow site.
The Role
This is a fundamental role in the company’s business strategy and requires an individual of an ambitious nature. CAD Technicians will work within the framework of subcontractor to main contractor, creating designs that comply with the overall build, issuing drawings and compliances to the building regulations. Review drawings and advise on changes, improvements, and work in compliance with the main contractor BIM protocols. Assisting with tender submissions and project lifecycles to align with project timescales and specifications. Applicants will follow established CAD and drafting standards and principles to prepare layouts and drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and associated peripheral software. The responsibility of the role is to produce all partitioning designs and schedules for partitioning and internal building solutions and for all drawings and combine details from sketches, drawings, and blueprints. Applicants must be able to interpret data, instructions, and specifications to prepare accurate drawings.
The Candidate
Suitable applicants must be able to show strong CAD Drawing and Detailing experience with attention to detail skills and be motivated to succeed within this industry and progress. Applicants must be qualified, ideally in the Construction, Internal Building Products, or subcontract supply industry presently. Accuracy and the ability to interpret data as well as strong problem-solving abilities are essential. Applicants must be proficient in the use of AutoCAD and have strong communication skills. Applicants must be able to demonstrate high levels of drive and enthusiasm. This role requires an applicant who is both comfortable technically but is able to work well within a team to support several departments.
Basic Salary £30-40K (Depending on experience) + Full company benefits + Flexible working.
