We are seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our team, working on specialist marine engineering projects. This role will involve fabrication and fitting work on naval vessels, including high-specification components within challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication and fitting of brackets, seating and inserts
- Working from engineering drawings and specifications
- Carrying out precise cutting and shaping of materials
- Ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety standards
- Collaborating with wider engineering and production teams
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in shipbuilding and/or ship repair
- Proficiency in oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Experience of working on Submarines is desirable but not essential
