As a Plumbing Remedial Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping commercial and domestic plumbing systems safe, compliant, and efficient. What will I be doing?
- Carry out plumbing works safely and efficiently, following SMS Method Statements.
- Undertake water testing, sampling, and tank disinfection alongside Water Treatment Engineers.
- Identify non‑compliances and report system conditions to Account Managers.
- Use Opuz software and your company iPad to complete accurate reports.
- Support the development of new plumbers and share your knowledge.
- Uphold the highest health and safety standards across every task.

What do I need to be successful?
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plumbing.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
- Minimum 2 years’ plumbing experience, ideally within the water hygiene industry.
- Confidence working independently and safely on‑site.
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
- Basic IT knowledge – using iPads and digital reporting tools.
- Ability to pass Disclosure and Barring Service clearance (Enhanced DBS check).
If you’ve got experience in commercial or domestic environments or knowledge of legionella control, even better!
